Perfect

God said, "I've made the perfect child. But I can't let him be perfect. There is only one perfect man, my son. So I'll give this child perfect hair and make it red. It will be beautiful except that I'll give him some cowlicks. I'll give him perfect skin except I'll make it very light, sensitive to the sun. And I'll add lots of freckles. That will make his future Claymates happy. I'll make his eyes very beautiful with lights in them. I'll make them a whole different color than any other eyes I've ever made. I'll make them a beautiful shade of green and add lots of red eyelashes. But I'll give him imperfect eyesight. He'll have to wear glasses. I'll make his nose and lips wonderful but I'll have to make his ears too big, to keep him from being perfect. I'll make the shape of his face and his cheekbones wonderful to make up for his ears though. I'll give him broad shoulders. For the job I want him to do, he'll need them. I'll give him a narrow waist and long arms and legs. I'll need him to stand tall. I'll give him large hands, for reaching out to people, for the hands on help I want him to do. I'll give him large feet, for the places I want him to go he has to cover a lot of ground. But wait, this body is too perfect, so I'll make him too thin. I'll give him health, but he'll have to have some allergies. I dont want his life to be so perfect that he forgets who's in charge of it. I'll give him a beautiful spirit but it will up to him to keep that spirit beautiful. I want him to be a teacher. I'll give him intelligence. I'll give him a heart full of love and compassion. But I'll have to add some self-deprecation to keep him from being too perfect. I'll give him a nice laugh, a contaious laugh. I'll put in a high pitched giggle so it won't be perfect. He needs a talent. I want him to have a talent that all will love so that he is heard around the world. I need him to be heard. I'll give him a voice. A singing voice. A speakers voice. The voice will be perfect. I want people to know that this child is special and that he works for me.

Thank you God for giving us Clay just as he is. Perfect.
